MY FIRST EXHIBIT

I WAS VERY EXCITED TO BE SHOWING THE PUBLIC MY WORK.

THE SHOW WAS CALLED “WOMAN”

A few months ago a friend from my childhood connected with me about helping her with a project to get her Masters. Wendy Poirtras a visual artist, had a vision of me photographing pictures that connected to herIndian Ink art . The pictures are about women and “womanizm” she explained.

The project was fast moving. We selected our subjects from the community and booked random location shoots. the finished product was a wonderful exhibit of Black and white photos of B lack Nova Scotian women

The show opened at my cafe July 17.

The women in the pictures took on a Goddess like appearance as they connected with the water, the nature, their own spirit. This exhibit will be up for a week or two and return for the “Go North art tour”
